Fountain of Magical Brethren
The Fountain of Magical Brethren was a fountain thatcould be found on the
'Atrium' floor of the
'Ministry of Magic' until its destruction''Harry'' Potter andthe Order of the Phoenix'' where Bellatrix Lestrange andAlbus Dumbledore demolished it whilst sending a series of cursesflying.
It displayed the golden statues of a wizard, a witch, a
'centaur', a'goblin',and a
'house-elf'. The witch and wizard were clearly meantto be the focal point, with the "lower beings" looking up in awe atthe two humans. This was very unrealistic considering that centaursconsider themselves much more intelligent than humans and wantnothing to do with them. The same goes for goblins whoserelationship with witches and wizards leaves much to bedesired.
"... A group of golden statues, larger than life sized, stood inthe middle of a circular pool. Tallest of them all was a noblelooking wizard with his wand pointing straight up in the air.Grouped around him were a beautiful witch, a centaur, a goblin, anda house-elf. The last three were all looking adoringly up at thewitch and wizard. Glittering jets of water were flying from theends of the two wands, the point of the centaur's arrow, the tip ofthe goblin's hat, and from each of the house-elf's ears, so thetinkling hiss of falling water was added to the pops and cracks ofApparators and the clatter of footsteps..."
-'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix'
relationship with witches and wizards leaves much to be
desired.
